About
I am a computer engineering student. I make bare-metal hardware and software from first principles.
I make bare-metal hardware and software from first principles.
I do not use an abstraction before I know how it operates, which is why I make the core systems again from the lowest possible level. I start at NAND gates, then a CPU, then state-machine logic in C and VHDL. This method gives strict types, no unnecessary dependencies, deterministic control of the state, and a clear division between the logic and the platform I/O.
My current work is on MISRA C:2012 and ESA BSSC(2000)1 compliance, and on real-time architectures with an FPGA.
