Systems programming in C

Own implementation rather than a library call. The Unix tools grep, cat and echo, with flag parsing and file I/O. A WAV file synthesised and written byte by byte. A modular Tetris engine.

UART TX/RX in VHDL (own projects)

Design and verification of standalone VHDL modules, from a full adder through a hierarchical Moore-machine counter to a UART interface.

NAND2Tetris (online course)

A complete 16-bit computer from first principles, from elementary NAND gates through the ALU to the CPU. Its 16-bit assembly compiles to binary through an assembler written in Python.

Self-hosted homelab

A private cloud on a Raspberry Pi: Debian, Docker Compose, Nginx Proxy Manager, remote access over Tailscale, and backups on a 3-2-1 strategy.
